Add extra security to your system with the AIM-1ELE Elevator Reader Interface to control access between building floors. Using up to four AEL 8-Floor control modules, the AIM-1ELE secures up to 32 floors or controlled areas.
The AIM-1ELE supports a wide variety of reader techlogies including proximity, smart card, magnetic stripe, and biometric. Connecting to one of Apollo’s AAN or AAM Series Controllers provides access to advanced features for automatic floor controlled based on pre-set conditions. In an offline condition, the AIM-1ELE continues to provide basic function and allow security of sensitive areas.
AIM-1ELE FEATURES:
- Intelligent control for up to 32 floors or other controlled areas
- ‘Floor Selected’ Feature prevents users from accessing multiple floors with one card read
- 3-color LED Support
- Surface Mount technology (SMT)
- Flash memory
OPERATION:
The general use of the AIM-1ELE and accompanying AEL relay boards is to provide an access control point for an elevator, which can be viewed as a set of doors. While the typical card reader must either grant or deny access for a single door, the AIM allows users to access one or several of up to 32 floors or doors (using 4 AEL relay boards). In a typical case, a user will present his card and the AIM-1ELE will process the card read and send it to the controller for an access decision. The controller will then instruct the AIM which relays to energize. These relays will be wired to buttons in the elevator cabin and the user can select from the floors he has been granted access to.
